Large terraine to explore. Skiing all the way to Klosters was fun. Long cruising runs and some steeps to keep it varied. Lots of side runs along the valley to keep it fresh. Keeps you busy for the week.

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

Davos - and Klosters - are great for holidays in summer and winter. skiing and nordic skiing anyway. But in summer there is the lake for kayaking or surfing or - if you don't mind the cold water - swimming. The mountains for downhill biking or hikes. The outdoors are second to none. In addition Davos offers a fantastic cultural program for visitors. Concerts, Young Artists or established orchestras etc. --- you can get special and unique experiences there. I highly recommend to look at the visitors or guest program by the DavosKlosters Tourist Board. From disc-golf to carriage rides, archery or visits by historic bus to Monstein brewery -- a divers and fabulous array of offers, you can only book them 2 weeks in advance but it's so worth it. Loads to do, adventure park, playgrounds and so much more. And you can get anywhere by bus or train.

Davos is a lovely city. Lots of walking/cycling routes. I recommend walking around Davos Lake. Trains/Buses are always on time and immaculate as for all of Switzerland. We had a lovely outdoor thermal swim in the local Wellness swimming pool called Eau-La-La, kids enjoyed the water slide.

Beautiful nature all around.
Beautiful nature all around. Parsens is a great place to ski with beautifull slopes. We didnt have time to explore other ski resorts around. Will try next time. They also have cross country skiing which i will try next time. There is a swimming pool and ice skating option in Davos. You can also visit Kirchners museum and admire his pictures. They have great backeries. You should try their Nut cake there. They have nice restaurants but the prices are really killing. It looks like there are only very wealthy people there who can pay all this. Reasonable option is to eat in Coop restaurant. We had a Christmas dinner at Angelo’s place which is a great place with a good food and very nice staff. We also liked Mountain’s Akt Bar. They had a good music and nice staff.

I was there for the annual running event "Davos X Trails". I had time on my hands so I playds tourist for a few days. Summer is the quiet period in Davos and you find a lot of walkers there. All the scenic liftes were open and as the weather was great there were a lot of people enjoying the lifts , walks and general scenery. Highly recommended.
Wow! Great hotel, great location, very clean; The room size was totally ok even with a baby; we had the corner room, with a small terrace; loved the little touches for our little kid; they provided a small bathrobe, a rubber duck, and special toiletries just for her; the crib was actually a kid-size wooden bed, a little old but did the job;
It was an old hotel which was renovated nicely; we loved everything about it and totally recommend it;
Cleanliness throughout the facility. Staff very cordial and helpful. Elevator going down to two levels of the underground car park. Storage room for ski equipment right next to the entrance from the underground car park -1. Breakfast is adequate with limited choice but very good quality. Great location. Maybe at the end of Davos but close to everywhere. There is a great bakery with a wood-burning oven right next to the hotel.
We stayed from Sunday till Monday (one night) at Shima Davos for a cross-country vacation. We arrived around noon and got our room almost right away. The owner was very nice and spoke perfect English.
The cross country tracks were right outside, and it would have been super easy to go for alpine skiing from there with the included guess pass for the local transport. Can really recommend!
Very good apartment for a family. Has all the commodities needed including parking. It was quiet and a great location for us as we were very close to the cross-country slopes and about 8 minutes walking distance to the Parsennbahn. Bus stops nearby too which we used to travel around Davos. Communication with owner was simple and smooth. We enjoyed our stay in Davos!
Lovely hotel at one end of Davos. The girls on reception were so helpful and could not do enough to help us. get a free visitor pass so that you can use the frequent buses into town. room was great with a balcony overlooking the mountains. breakfast was good and included in the price.
Independent hotel that really care - very friendly team, very clean and comfortable rooms, very comfortable beds, quiet and excellent location near Davos Postplatz bus stop. Great breakfast sets you up for a great day’s skiing. Convenient ski room with separate access.
Hotel Derby was once a top hotel in Davos. The house now serves as budget accommodation, ie rooms are "old style", but clean and no service is provided. Location is great, parking just in front of the door and several breakfast/food options nearby.
The appartement was super clean.
There is a big private terrace with amazing view.
Staff are super friendly.
Location is great. There is a restaurant in the hotel and many others closed by.
Definitely will stay there again.
Location is perfect. 1 min walk from train station, 3 min walk to lift! They also provided me a commute ticket within Davos!
The single room I got was super cozy, clean and warm!
Ski room was also very shiny.
Was there for the Davos X-Trails - perfect location just minutes away from the start. Additionally, hotel offered without asking the use of the pool/shower facilities after the run. Very kind and attentive.
-Location is amazing! Only 10 minutes away from the ski lifts. Room were clean and nice. Spenglers Inn is connected to the hard rock hotel. Clean rooms and small rooms but perfect for a ski weekend.
The hotel is very nice, personel is very helpful, nice rooms, great breakfast, sauna, 10 minut walk from Davos Platz and Jakobshorn lift, every year I go to Davos i stay at Strela hotel
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were blown away by the hospitality - everything from booking ski lift tickets, restaurant reservations to child care services.
Fantastic team running a truly amazing hotel in the heart of Davos, from the check-in all the way to the room, spa and breakfast 10/10. We are coming back next weekend :)
The staff was wonderful, always available and very helpful. Good choices for breakfast. The hotel has charm and a lovely atmosphere. We will come back!
